Pickin’ and Musing: September

This month was full of day trips to nearby corners of Minnesota and Wisconsin. Evenings were spent enjoying music and time together in our newly refreshed and (seemingly) set living room.

A Dictionary of Color Combinations

The month’s inspiration seemed to exist within these palettes. This is my go-to book for when I don’t want the distraction of style or setting.

Lookin’ down

We drove down to LaCrosse with my brother, Daniel for the day. Their downtown has no shortage of tile inspiration.

A bee buffet.

A blanket that got away.

A door in the perfect green.

I will always pick up house plan books. It’s such a fun way to learn about trends from the past and maybe even bring them into the present.

This tabletop made me stop in my tracks. It was inside a little historic cabin at the Almelund Apple Festival where there was a baking demonstration for white sandwich bread.

Parting Thought:

Eli and I spent a few nights this month looking through our forgotten or unheard records. This past spring we moved all physical music to the living room, turning it into a glorified “listening room”.
